HouseHQ ("we", "us", "our") is a household AI assistant service available at househq.ai. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our web console, Telegram bot, or any other channel we support.
2. Data we collect
- Account information — name, email address, and profile photo provided during sign-up via Clerk authentication.
- Household data — household name, member names, and preferences you configure in the console.
- Conversations — messages you send through the web console or Telegram bot, and the assistant's responses.
- Telegram user ID — if you link your Telegram account, we store your numeric Telegram user ID to route messages.
- Calendar and email metadata — if you connect Google Calendar or use email features, we access event details and email metadata to provide scheduling and notification services.
- Usage data — basic analytics such as page views, feature usage, and error logs to improve the service.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and personalise the household assistant service.
- To maintain conversation context and household memory so the assistant can give relevant answers.
- To send notifications and reminders you have configured.
- To improve the service, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
4. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate HouseHQ:
- Clerk — authentication and user management.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI model provider that processes your messages to generate assistant responses. Messages are sent to Anthropic's API and are subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting and deployment.
- Telegram — messaging channel (if you choose to link your account).
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Google — calendar integration (if connected).
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon with encryption at rest. Sensitive fields are encrypted at the application level. All connections use TLS. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Conversation history and household memory are permanently deleted when a household is removed.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
8. Your rights
You can access, update, or delete your personal data from the HouseHQ console at any time. If you need to make a request you cannot complete in the console, contact us at the email below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the console or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
